Bowling Tournaments


Over 1,500 athletes from around the state take part in several bowling tournaments offered during the month of December.

Due to the popularity of the sport, several tournaments are held at Bowlerama in New Castle, Brunswick Doverama in Dover and Milford Bowl in Milford. School tournaments take place during the school day and the community tournaments are held on a Saturday.

The Kent/Sussex Community Bowling Tournaments are sponsored by Kraft Foods.

The New Castle County Community Tournament is sponsored by Discover Bank with support from Kraft Foods.

The School Tournament at Brunswick Doverama on February 18 is sponsored by Energizer.

The School Tournament at Bowlerama on February 20 at Bowlerama is sponsored by Sallie Mae.

The School Tournaments on February 25 and February 27 are sponsored by WSFS.

All School Tournaments are supported by a grant from the Mattel Children's Foundation and Special Olympics Project UNIFY.

All School Tournaments begin at 10:15 a.m. with an Opening Ceremony and usually conclude no later than 1:30 p.m.
